Native American dancing is a way of expression, language and a rich form of art in itself. They tell stories and are used as a powerful medium for prayer, religious rituals and celebrations. Each dance has its own significant meaning. Movements illustrated the purpose of the dance – expressing prayer, victory, thanks, mythology and more. Gatherings would last for days, with dance, feasts and storytelling.
